WECU Ventures · Security & trust

Trust must be
designed in.

WECU is building its technology direction around privacy-conscious design, accountable access, secure integrations, responsible AI, and clear communication about what has—and has not—been achieved.

Current status

Prelaunch development. No compliance certification is being claimed.

WECU does not currently claim HIPAA compliance, SOC 2 certification, HITRUST certification, or any equivalent certification. Formal requirements, technical controls, validation, and independent review must be completed before any future claims are made.

01

Privacy-conscious design

Plan data collection around defined purpose, minimum necessity, and clear user expectations.

02

Role-based permissions

Plan access around job responsibilities and approved levels of information.

03

Auditability

Design for accountable activity records, review, and operational traceability.

04

Secure architecture

Evaluate encryption, identity, session, environment, and deployment controls during development.

05

Integration security

Require controlled, documented connections with approved systems and data sources.

06

Responsible AI

If AI is introduced, define human oversight, data boundaries, transparency, and appropriate use before activation.

Trust roadmap

Build. Validate. Document. Then claim.

WECU will distinguish planned controls from implemented controls and implemented controls from independently validated certifications.

  1. 01

    Define requirements

Document intended data, users, roles, workflows, integrations, and legal obligations.

  2. 02

    Design controls

Build technical and administrative safeguards appropriate to the finalized product scope.

  3. 03

    Test and review

Evaluate access, logging, failure handling, privacy behavior, and integration boundaries.

  4. 04

    Validate externally

Pursue independent review or certification only when product maturity and requirements support it.

  5. 05

    Communicate accurately

Publish only verified capabilities, controls, and certifications with clear scope.

Current website behavior

The prelaunch website does not collect PHI.

General website forms are not designed for patient information, medical records, billing data, or other sensitive information.

The current early-access and contact forms validate information in the browser but do not transmit or store submissions because a secure form endpoint is not yet connected.

Security conversations

Building technology for healthcare requires honest answers.

Organizations and technology partners can join early-access discussions about requirements, integration boundaries, and responsible implementation.
